Is it just me, or has this week gone by so quickly? It seems like only 5 minutes since my last weekly swoon..
ILLAMASQUA CREAM FOUNDATION IN CF325 Review
I’ve been feeling a bit of contour on the ol’ face just now. Maybe I’m craving a little colour on my chops again now that we’re breaking in to Spring? Or perhaps I just decided it about time to treat myself to some cheekbones/nose/chin/actual face shape? Yeah, we’ll go for that. While I do generally favour powder over cream formulas for my contouring needs, the ILLAMASQUA CREAM FOUNDATION IN CF325 has been working a treat lately. This shade is just spot on for my skin tone. Not at all muddy and free from any tragic orangey undertones (please confirm that we’ve all been there?). And the texture is just so creamy too (it’s a cream foundation, duh), blending to perfection without a harsh line in sight – even for a contour noob like myself. The finish it imparts really is spot on. Completely matte and just how I like it. The bad news? This particular shade is now discontinued. There are a couple similar shades though I believe. Just don’t shoot the messenger..
MAC CREMESHEEN GLASS IN BOY BAIT Review
Okay. I’m not the world’s biggest fan of lipgloss. I just know what I like, and gloss ain’t usually it. In fact, it’s a rare occasion for even the mention of a lipgloss round here. But today. Today is one of those days guys. A spontaneous purchase, MAC CREMESHEEN GLASS IN BOY BAIT joined my stash a few weeks back and I must say, I like it. A soft, non-sticky and incredibly easy to wear nude, the tiniest amount applied over my favourite nude or pinky lipstick just adds that little extra something. Now don’t get me wrong. I’m no gloss convert on that basis. It’d take one hell of a gloss offering to pry me away from lipsticks completely. But in honesty, I am warming to them. Didn’t expect that one did ya? I know I didn’t..
ORIGINS HIGH POTENCY NIGHT-A-MINS Review
Well I think it’s become fairly apparent that I like a bit of skincare here and there. Ahem. Although admittedly, the moisturising-element of my skincare wardrobe is a little work-in-progress. Ever in pursuit of that ‘perfect moisturiser’, particularly of the night-time variety (suggestions gratefully received), I’ve found myself with quite a rotation on my hands. The current favourite of which is ORIGINS HIGH POTENCY NIGHT-A-MINS. It’s light yet very hydrating but never too rich for my oily-to-combination skin. They do have an oil-free version if you fancy but even my temperamental complexion happens to manage just fine with the standard option. It doesn’t irritate at all and my skin just laps it up. Oh, and it smells just like honey chocolate orange. You’re welcome.
ANTIPODES AURA MANUKA HONEY MASK Review
Apparently I’m one of those lucky people that not only has incredibly congested skin (gross, I know), but one that also find themselves with extremely dry/red/sore patches at will. Thanks skin, appreciate it. So, when it comes to down to a face mask, I want it all. Something cleansing and soothing and hydrating please. Too much to ask? Nah. The ANTIPODES AURA MANUKA HONEY MASK has got my back and has most definitely earned it’s place as one of my favourites masks of all time. The key ingredient being Manuka Honey (obvs), is known for not only it’s deeply cleansing properties but for also offering a serious hit of nourishment and hydration along the way. As my skin began to feel somewhat worse for wear during the week, this old friend had it covered. Immediate results, happy skin. What would I do without it?
So tell me, what have you been loving this week?
